The goal of Rental Beast is to make sure our valued landlords & private owners have the most intuitive and streamlined process from tenant acquisition to lease signing. It is for this reason that we are excited to announce our latest feature, Apply Now.
There are no costs and no fees associated with this service. Apply Now is simply a tool for you to consolidate and send out applications to prospective tenants that you’ve found along the way. We thank you for trying out our service and we hope you’ll find it useful and efficient!
1. Your Landlord Portal
You will be led to the main page of your Landlord Portal. You will see a full list of the properties you’ve entered as well as the ability to sort them by:
- Status
- Date Available
- Address
- Unit Number
- Bedrooms
- Rent
NOTE: Newly added listings will need approval from Rental Beast staff before they will be visible on the website.
Any CHANGES made to the listing will also need approval before they appear on the site. If you require immediate approval of your CHANGES or ADDED LISTING, please contact us.
The Apply Now feature will only work for units that have been submitted and approved by our staff.
2. Submit and Application Request with Apply Now
To the right of each listing on the Landlord Portal, you will see an arrow button that enables you to open more options for your listings.
From this panel, you will be able to initiate an application by clicking Apply Now!
After clicking Apply Now, a small form should pop-up asking you for additional details about the prospective tenant you are sending an Application Request to.
After adding one individual’s information, you are given the option to Add Co-Applicant, which can be used for every additional person would would be on the same lease.
All separate applications will have to be added individually. This is only for a roommate or family situation.
Up to 10 additional applicants may be added.
Once finished entering applicants, click Submit to email the Application Requests out. The applicants will be required to sign in to the Rental Beast system and fill out the required information for an application and background check.
3. Client Receives Application
At this point, the request form is sent out to the desired applicants and the next step is up to them. They should receive an email from Rental Beast that looks like this:
You will be able to see all of your currently open, pending, and rejected applications by clicking on the Applications tab at the top of the Landlord Portal.
When you click this button, you will be led to a page where you can see the current statuses of every one of your listings and those who have applied.
If you would like to see just the Application Statuses for a specific property, click on the Apply Now Applications button for that property.
From this screen, you can see the details of any pending or complete application and decide whether or not you would like to accept this tenant into your property.
From this screen, you can view Credit, Eviction, and Criminal reports for all potential tenants who have completed applications.
Once all information is reviewed, you may Accept the applicant, Accept with Condition (which will provide a drop-down menu of possible conditions), or Reject applicant.
